A couture wedding gown with a fairytale style
When I met Alexandra her elegance and poise stood out to me. She had a gentle tone in a voice that was beautiful to listen to. I immediately felt connected to her. Her style was elegant and classy.
As I started to sketch some ideas we decided on our Couture House lace, 3D flowers and beading that engulfed metres of lace. The flowers were soft, dainty, complimenting Alexandra’s personality.
Her petite body shape suited an A-line silhouette dress with a sweeping train. The low vee front bodice was encrusted with hand-applique flowers, leaving the sides of the bodice bare with nude tulle inserts for a sexy feel.
Her skirt was made using layers of soft tulle also hand embellished with the lace cascading from her waist to the hem and continued onto the train. Accompanying her wedding dress was a long 6 metre veil that was embellished and detailed using 3D lace flowers and beading. Alexandra oozed total elegance on her wedding day.
It was a pleasure to design and make the mother of the bride who is a client of mine and I was honoured when her daughter chose me to create her entire bridal party which included 5 bridesmaids and one gorgeous flower girl.
This was a beautiful wedding that I had the pleasure to be part of from start to finish. Celebrating the day with Alexandra’s family and friends was an absolute honour.

What is a custom made wedding dress?
A custom made piece of clothing is designed so that it is the same size and shape as your body. It can emphasise all of your elegant features perfectly. In this example it was also created with a skirt that could be detached.
What types of wedding dress can be designed?
At Catherine Colubriale we offer a choice for our clients whether they require a wedding dress, evening gown or something unique for a special event.
You can choose a dress design from our House Collection which will then be adjusted to suit your body size or you can opt for a completely Custom Couture design which is a one off creation.
