A bespoke gown is designed with Catherine from a blank page, only for you, and takes six to twelve months. Alternatively, you choose a gown from our Bridal or Evening Couture Collection that will be made to order to fit your specific body measurements. This process takes four to six weeks.

No. Couture collection gowns are Catherine’s designs made to order to your measurements. If you would like a gown designed only for you, choose bespoke.

Consultations are by appointment in our Dulwich Hill atelier. For a bespoke gown we talk about your occasion, your style and how you want to feel, look at fabrics together and Catherine begins sketching ideas with you. For a gown from our Bridal or Evening Couture Collection, we talk you through the gowns and take your measurements. Bring an open mind and any images, colours or inspirations you love.

Yes. Your private consultation is $150, paid when you book to reserve your time with Catherine. It is credited in full to your gown when you go ahead, so if you order your gown with us the consultation costs you nothing extra. You can move your appointment free of charge with 48 hours’ notice.

Of course. You are welcome to bring family or friends with you.

By appointment, Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Request a time through our booking form or call the atelier.

Not at all. For a bespoke gown Catherine guides you step by step, with fabric samples, hand-drawn sketches and then a toile made to your measurements, so you can see and feel your gown long before it is finished.

Every gown is individually quoted, because every gown is different: the design, fabrics and hand-work all shape the price. Everything is explained clearly before you commit.

A 50% deposit at the time of booking begins your design process.

No. The only extra cost that can apply is if you change the design or fabric once your gown is already in production, and we’ll always discuss that with you first.

No. We source everything, choosing the right fabric for your design and your body. If you have a fabric with special meaning, we’ll happily consider incorporating it into a bespoke gown.

A bespoke gown takes between six and twelve months, depending on the complexity of your design and our schedule, and we aim to have it finished two weeks before your event. A gown from our Bridal or Evening Couture Collection is made to order to your specific body measurements in four to six weeks.

We are with you all the way. If your shape changes we work out the best way to adapt the design. We have dressed many brides through weight changes and pregnancy.

It’s rare, because the design process gives you real confidence in your gown. If you do want to change a major element once it is in production, we’ll adjust the quote to reflect the change.
