When I met Alexandra her elegance and poise stood out to me. She had a gentle tone in her voice that was beautiful to listen to, and I immediately felt connected to her.
As I began sketching, she told me she wanted a truly individual lace gown, so we combined 3D flowers and beading across metres of lace, soft and dainty, just like her personality.
Her petite frame suited an A-line silhouette with a sweeping train. The low vee bodice was encrusted with hand-appliquéd flowers, leaving the sides bare with nude tulle inserts for a sexy feel. Layers of soft tulle were hand-embellished with lace cascading from waist to hem and onto the train, and a six-metre veil was detailed with the same 3D flowers and beading.
It was also a pleasure to make the mother of the bride’s dress (she is a client of mine), and I was honoured when her daughter chose me to create her entire bridal party: five bridesmaids and one gorgeous flower girl. Celebrating the day with Alexandra’s family and friends was an absolute honour.
