A custom made wedding dress with corset bodice
When I met Gloria, I knew I was designing for a bride that loved and appreciated art and history of all ages, hence why we chose inspiration from the 1800s fashion era.
Gloria loved detail and was inspired by the Victorian wedding dress designs.
We were able to take inspiration from the 1800s wedding dresses and turn her gown into a modern twist. Gloria’s Victorian style wedding dress began through a series of ideas that was created using layers of silk ivory dupion fabric and metres gathered lace.
Her fitted Corset bodice was gathered at the bust to create fullness and an elegant sweetheart bustline. The back was bustled creating drama that extended into a 2 metre long train. We handmade yellow chiffon flowers and used them to enhance the overall look of her Victorian inspired wedding dress.

At Catherine Colubriale we offer a choice for our clients whether they require a wedding dress, evening gown or something unique for a special event.
You can choose a dress design from our House Collection which will then be adjusted to suit your body size or you can opt for a completely Custom Couture design which is a one off creation.
