What a story with my beautiful bride Taharna. I met Taharna through her mother Bronwyn, a very special client of mine whose dresses I have been making for years.
At one of Bronwyn’s fittings, Taharna and I talked about her future wedding gown, and then the fairytale began with a surprise proposal from her handsome man. I received the call to start designing her engagement dress: a gold sequin fitted bodice attached to a pencil skirt, fun, sexy and elegant, just like her playful personality. A yellow bridal shower dress followed, complementing her floral theme.
After the bridal shower we sat down for a long appointment over coffees, croissants and strawberry tarts. I took out the sketch pad and off we went, designing the entire bridal party: the wedding gown, the mother of the bride, five bridesmaids, five flower girls and the mother of the groom.
Taharna’s gown was a princess ball gown with a cathedral-length train for the church. She left her guests amazed when she arrived at the reception with the ball gown skirt removed, revealing a fully beaded, sexy gown to dance the night away with her husband, family and friends.
